Hands-on workshop on ULTRASOUND GUIDED PAIN MANAGEMENT IN TRAUMA PATIENTS-A Cadavaric Workshop on Regional Blocks
On 11-09-2024,Anesthesia department SMBBIT successfully conducted Pre-Pak Trauma Con 2024 hands on workshop on ULTRASOUND GUIDED PAIN MANAGEMENT IN TRAUMA PATIENTS,A Cadavaric Workshop on Regional Blocks. The purpose of this Workshop was to improve the pain management of trauma patients and demonstrate safe needling technique to avoid iatrogenic injury when performing blocks on patients.
This was the second workshop organized by Anesthesia and ICU department of SMBBIT .We provided platform to our participants to gain maximum knowledge from our experts regarding pain management as it consisted of 2 sessions.
Interactive lectures regarding safe use of ultrasound machine and regional blocks on trauma patients.
Hands-on Session on cadavers and simulators that included brachial plexus block, Transversus Abdominis Plane Block(all approaches),Rectus sheath block and Erector spinae Block.
This valuable workshop was conducted, as the use of multimodal analgesia is rapidly becoming the standard of care and regional blocks now become part of it. We concluded our workshop with the hope that it will be helpful for our participants to utilize this for better pain management and early recovery for all trauma patients . In the end CME accredited certificates were distributed to all participants and shields to facilitators.
